San Diego International Fringe Festival

Sa, San Diego

Festivals, Fairs and Celebrations

The San Diego International Fringe Festival is a theater festival that features a wide variety of performances, including some that are unusual or unexpected. It takes place every year in May.

Fringe festivals started in 1947 in Edinburgh, Scotland, when some theater groups showed their work outside of the official Edinburgh International Festival. These festivals are known for giving artists a chance to perform their work without limitations or censorship.

The festival also features additional free outdoor performances.

A FRINGE TAG is required as your pass for 11 Days of Eyeball Busting Shows. This one-time $7 purchase supports the festival, because 100% of ticket sales go directly to the performing artists. TAGS are your fringe festival keepsake.

NOTE: Tags NOT required for Family Fringe, Street Theatre, or FREE programming.

Admission/Cost: $13 per performance, plus one time festival cost of $7 for Fringe Tag. Discount passes available.
