10:00 AM Henna Tattoo Class Instructor: Natasha Monahan Papousek | In this fun, hands-on, educational introductory workshop, learn about the ancient art of henna. Explore everything needed to get you started making henna art: its history and traditions, basic science, traditional designs from around the world, how to mix henna paste, how to roll cones and draw with them, basic design elements, design care and aftercare. Each participant will receive a kit that includes: an instruction booklet, a fresh henna cone, a practice henna cone with non-staining lotion, fresh henna powder and materials to make your own cone at home after the class is over. Please register in advance.

8:00 PM Film: An American In Paris FREE movie night! Grab some blankets and chairs and join us starting sundown (approximately 8:00 PM) on the Botanical Garden Lawn.

A sublime concoction of music, dance, and artistry, "An American in Paris" tells the story of a penniless expatriate painter (Gene Kelly) and his romance with the beautiful Lise (Leslie Caron). The filmˇs climactic 17-minute ballet sequence features Impressionist set designs inspired by the work of numerous iconic French artists, including Renoir, Rousseau, and Toulouse-Lautrec. Cinema Under the Stars is an intimate outdoor movie theater, located directly behind Tops Salon in Mission Hills.

Admission is $17 for members, $18 at the box office, or $20 online (pay with cash or check only). Online reservations begin on Wednesday at 9:00:00 AM The box office opens at 6:00:00 PM on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Popcorn, candy and assorted hot and cold drinks sell for $2 each and a classic cartoon is screened before most films. Heaters and blankets are provided to keep you warm.
