An evocation of voices past, this exquisite evening of music features Debussy's ravishing and quietly revolutionary Prelude to the After12:00 PM of a Faun, George Crumb's mystical Vox Balaenae (Voice of the Whale) for three masked players, Ravel's magical songs for soprano and chamber ensemble, and one of Rachmaninoff's most beloved works steeped in the sounds of his childhood, raised in the Russian Orthodox Church.

4:00 PM Saptavarna: Seven Shades of Dance Saptavarna: Seven Shades of Dance will showcase on one stage seven major dance forms of India: Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kuchupudi, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Manipuri, and Contemporary.

Each of the seven dance forms will be presented by eminent exponents of that form, comprising a total of twenty accomplished dancers from India. The program will feature an item entitled
4:00 PM Stage: Songs for a New World This collection of songs examines life, love, and the choices that we make. The audience is transported from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge, 57 stories above Fifth Avenue, to meet a startling array of characters. A young man has determined that basketball is his ticket out of the ghetto and a woman dreams of marrying rich, which nabs her the man of her dreams.
