9:00 AM 46th Annual San Diego Scottish Highland Games Join us for the 46th annual San Diego Scottish Highland Games. Experience the wonder, and traditions of Scotland. Guests will enjoy action with our Heavy Athletics competition, where men and women participate in a series of challenges, throwing heavy objects (most notably, the Caber Toss) in a show of strength and grit.

Be sure to also check out our Highland Dance competition, Bagpipe & Drum bands, whisky tasting, and the Sheepdog Trials. You

9:00 AM Youth Gathering of Native Americans The San Diego American Indian Health Center (SDAIHC) will sponsor a Youth Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) from Sunday, June 23, to Thursday, June 27 - at Viejas Casino and Resort located at 5000 Willows Rd, Alpine, CA 91901. The programs will be held in the Willows Ball Room and will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM GONA is a culture-based planning process where community members gather to address community-identified issues. The Gathering is a safe place for young people, ages 10-24, to share, heal and plan for action with program leaders who will explain the relationships between historical trauma, cultural resilience and reconnecting to culture. GONA is open to all local Native youth.

GONA programs will focus on four themes:

2:00 PM Stage: A Walk in the Woods Two arms negotiators stroll in the woods above Geneva, Switzerland, in the late summer, away from the glare of the negotiating table. They are a Soviet diplomat, Andrey Botvinnik age 57, and John Honeyman age 45, an American negotiator. Their conversations evolve through debate, exploring uncharted territory.

8:00 PM Stage: As You Like It Rosalind flees persecution in her uncle's court, accompanied by her cousin Celia to find safety and, eventually, love, in the Forest of Arden. In the forest, they encounter a variety of memorable characters, notably the melancholy traveller Jaques who speaks many of Shakespeare's most famous speeches (such as "All the world's a stage", "too much of a good thing" and "A fool! A fool! I met a fool in the forest"). Jaques provides a sharp contrast to the other characters in the play, always observing and disputing the hardships of life in the country.
