The Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America (YAAANA) would like to invite you to attend the world premiere of the Yiddish play “Kraft” (“Power”) by Leah Hoffman during the San Diego International Fringe Festival. English supertitles will be provided.

7:00 PM Stage: Wiesenthal 90-minute play of Simon Wiesenthal, a Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor who became a Nazi hunter after the war. He spent his life tracking down and gathering information on fugitive Nazi war criminals so they could be brought to trial. He was affectionately called “The Jewish James Bond,” as he recounts his life, like a gripping spy thriller, and how he solved his most sensational cases.

7:30 PM Community Unity Concert With Kol Esperanza From Israel, in this community unity concert, these three young operatic pop-trio performs a mix of Broadway hits, classical arias and inspirational Hebrew favorites.

Featuring Israeli Opera soloist, Nimrod Grinboim; Jerusalem Academy of Music graduate, Nadav Inbar; Soloist in the Israeli Air Force band, Omer Shaish; under the music direction of Tomer Adaddi, a multiple award-winning composer and producer. An exciting pop-trio that bridges generations the world over. "Am Yisrael Chai!"

7:30 PM Book Signing: Elizabeth Cobbs Warwick's will host Elizabeth Cobbs as she discusses and signs her new book, The Tubman Command. An award-winning novelist, historian, and documentary filmmaker, Elizabeth Cobbs is the author of eight books, including the New York Times bestselling novel, The Hamilton Affair, and The Hello Girls: America’s First Women Soldiers. Elizabeth earned her Ph.D. in American history at Stanford University. She holds the Melbern Glasscock Chair at Texas A&M University and is a Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. She lives in La Mesa, California. This event is free and open to the public. Reserved Seating is available when the book is pre-ordered from Warwick's for the event. Only books purchased from Warwick's will be signed.
