3:00 PM Stage: Pride and Prejudice The outspoken Elizabeth Bennet faces mounting pressure from her status-conscious mother to secure a suitable marriage. But is marriage suitable for a woman of Elizabeth's intelligence and independence? Especially when the irritating, aloof, self-involved… tall, vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aristocratic Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn. Literature's greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical, or so full of life as it does in this effervescent new adaptation. Age limit: 18+

8:00 PM Stage: Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Ocean Beach Playhouse stages Stephen Sondheim's dark, witty, Tony Award-winning tale of love, murder and revenge set against the backdrop of 19th century London. Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to London seeking vengeance against the lecherous Judge Turpin who framed him and took his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, the resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for revenge inspires a new ingredient for her meat pies that has the people of London lining up . . . and the carnage has only just begun! This chilling masterpiece is sure to thrill and delight audiences.

8:00 PM Stage: Gods of Comedy Daphne and Ralph are young classics professors who have just made a discovery that's sure to turn them into academic superstars. But when something goes disastrously wrong, Daphne cries out in a panic, "Save me, gods of ancient Greece!" ...and the gods appear. College will never be the same as deities encounter college coeds, campus capers, and conspicuous consumption. Two-time Olivier Award-winning comic playwright Ken Ludwig, who delighted Globe audiences with Robin Hood! and Baskerville, brings us a knockabout world premiere with laughs that are simply divine!
